BRITISH BRAND CHRONICLES FOUR EXTRAORDINARY SHIRT WEARERS TO LAUNCH SEASONAL COLLECTIONS AND SERVICES
Today sees Thomas Pink launch ‘Which Shirt Are You?’. Following its debut success in 2014, the campaign will see the Thomas Pink film an eclectic host of characters in their natural environment. Spanning eleven weeks and comprising four characters, each ‘Which Shirt Are You?’ film will highlight a new collection or in-store service, between mid-August and October.
The campaign will commence with ‘Blue by Ed Smith’, featuring the journalist and broadcaster and former England cricketer, and will launch Thomas Pink’s new Blues by PINK collection. As well as commentating for the BBC’s Test Match Special, Ed is also a Cambridge Blue – making him the perfect pundit to discuss the importance of this season’s key colour and why it is an essential part of every well-dressed man’s wardrobe. Follow our social media channels to watch the film – and be in with a chance of winning £150 to spend in store or online.
Spanning shirting, knitwear, accessories and outerwear, the Blues by PINK collection takes inspiration from Sir Michael Caine in the 1971 film ‘Get Carter’. As one of London’s sharpest dressers in the 60s and 70’s, Caine’s pared back style and love of blue has inspired a blue hued palette.
Frederik Willems, Head of Design, says; “The collection plays with weaves and texture to develop solid colours with subtle design features and added intrigue and checks and herringbone play a pivotal role throughout. Key shirting includes a washed indigo Italian weave Chambray shirt in 80s two fold cotton [£89] and a slim-fit blue/black smudge check shirt [£115] with matching tie [£69]. Hero outerwear comes in an unlined navy jacket with a shadow window-pane check [£395].”
