Famously photographing the Duke and Duchess of Windsor jumping inches from the ground in perfect time with one-another, Philippe Halsman is the inspiration behind the latest campaign visuals for heritage fashion brand Thomas Pink.
The eccentric Latvian developed the art of capturing people jumping, which he coined Jumpology, following his time working alongside Dali, commenting:
“When you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed toward the act of jumping and the mask falls so that the real person appears.”
To commemorate this historic picture, we have re-created the look below based on HRH The Duke of Windsor’s impeccable style. We hope Philippe would approve.
An exciting addition to A/W collection is the Thomas Pink Davies suit. A beautifully constructed double breasted, six button piece in 100% wool featuring small grey dog tooth with clever use of red threading. The Davies is fully lined, with red melton and double vents and guaranteed to become a popular statement suit. The Slim Fit shirt is the most modern, tailored cut from Thomas Pink. The fit is slimmer though the chest, waist and hip than the classic shape and is contoured by the use of a side panel to give the body more shape. The slim fit Anwar shirt features a double cuff, a hand crafted semi cutaway collar and signature Pink stitching on last buttonhole. Perfect with a tie or open neck, tuck it in or let it all hang out.
